The staff at the Rex are so courteous and helpful. Location is fantastic. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. It's not luxurious but it is soulful and homey. Will definitely stay there again.

Great Service, Nice Room, and a Great Location

Excellent, helpful, friendly staff! The entire hotel and our room was nicely decorated and very clean. A short walk to Union Square and a 1/2 block walk to the cable car stop.The staff really went out of their way to provide us with helpful advice, directions, and arranged an excellent deal on a rental car.

I Left My Heart at the Rex

I found the staff at Hotel Rex, from front desk, bar and restaurant, to be absolutely charming and very professional. My room reminded me of the little hotels I stayed at in Paris, but the decor was much nicer, with a lovely mix of fabrics and lively ceramic lamps. The Aveda amenities are a nice touch, but the comfortable bed was the best perk. With a great location close to Union Square, I have a new favorite in San Francisco.
