You have to appriciate history and vintage things to appriciate this place. I would definately stay here again. It gives you a sense of being a part of the community. Convient for the trolly ride to all the major attractions. Free wine tasting in the evenings, and internet service in the lobby were some perks. Decent cont. breakfast as well.These rooms are typical of olden times. Very authentic.

The Nob Hill Hotel is the worst offender of false advertising I have ever seen! The claim to be luxurious and stately but are really dark, dank and the rooms are so small they cause immediate clausterphobia. I did not end up staying there and the front desk told me I would be charged $50 for leaving early. They ended up charging me $160 and after speaking with the owner, refuse to refund the money I was not supposed to pay!

We arrived with confirmation number and found out they had overbooked by at least four rooms and wnated us to walk four blocks to a run down hotel, the Fitzgerald, at 11:30 at night. The clerk was unbelievably rude and the manager yelled at us when we phoned him. They refused to give us a refund and we were forced to call the Police. While waiting other guests told similar stories and showed us many similar comments on this web site. We have never been treated this badly in Canada, US or Europe and this is apparently quite common here.Hotel is nothing like the web site! Stay away!!!!Blake MacEachern, Edmonton, Canada.
